The Arkansas Energy Office (AEO), a Division of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from firms to become ‘Qualified Providers’ for providing Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) services to public entities in Arkansas. The primary intent of this selection process is to evaluate and certify energy service companies (ESCOs) as pre-qualified providers in the Arkansas Energy Performance Contracting (AEPC) Program. This is the second RFQ issued by the agency since the state EPC program was launched last Fall.

The AEO will create and maintain a list of qualified ESCOs state-wide as a means to implement comprehensive energy and water efficiency and capital improvement projects in existing buildings for state agencies, state funded institutions of higher education, and local governments.

The RFQ was issued on Friday, October 16, 2015 and may be obtained by visiting the AEO website at arkansasenergy.org, via email to DBowen@ArkansasEDC.com, or by calling (501) 682-7379.

Sealed responses to the RFQ will be accepted until November 13th at 3 pm CST at the following address: ATTN: Diane Bowen, Arkansas Economic Development Commission, 900 West Capitol, Suite 400, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201. A public opening of submissions will be held that same day and location at 3:30 pm CST.
