Stitt Energy Systems, Inc. joins the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) this month to host an open house during the world’s largest grassroots solar event, the 20th Annual National Solar Tour.

The open house takes place at 10068 Sun Ridge Circle, Rogers, AR, on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9am to 1pm and on Sunday, Oct. 18, from noon to 4pm. It showcases a 3.06kW solar electric system, a 2-panel solar water heating system, and a home designed for passive solar heating and cooling. The solar electric system includes battery back up, which provides power during utility outages, and is connected to the grid through a net metering agreement. The solar technologies on display 1) drastically reduce monthly energy bills, 2) reduce harmful carbon emissions, and 3) provide near energy independence for the homeowners.

“The National Solar Tour demonstrates an array of practical and economical solutions available right here, right now. It encourages neighborhood conversations addressing the growing need for clean energy,” said ASES Executive Director, Carly Rixham.

The Tour of this award-winning, Energy Star® home is free and open to the public. Entertainment includes an energy scavenger hunt that attendees may take to enter a drawing for energy-saving prizes.
