Arkansas Manufacturing Systems (AMS) has announced a series of seminars and workshops across the state during coming weeks that focus on enhancing sustainability for manufacturers.  Sponsored by Energy Efficiency Arkansas, a partnership between the Arkansas Energy Office, Arkansas investor owned electric and gas utilities, and The Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Corporation member electric cooperatives, the workshops will explore a variety of energy savings technologies for business and industry.

The various workshops will be held in Russellville, Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Jonesboro and Fort Smith.  Topics include Lighting and Energy Efficiency, Fundamentals of Compressed Air Systems, Pumping Systems Optimization, Boiler and Steam System Efficiency, Industrial Energy Efficiency, and Establishing Energy Metrics.  “This is an important professional development opportunity for advanced energy companies across the state,” said Arkansas Advanced Energy Association Executive Director, Steve Patterson.

AMS was established as a program of the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority to provide manufacturing extension services to Arkansas manufacturers. They strive to maximize enterprise value for manufacturers through innovation, operational excellence, sustainability and leadership development.  Throughout the year they offer a wide range of training classes and events to provide quality training, manufacturing information, and previews of new programs available.
